Care:

Wood:

The serving and cutting boards, wooden swords as well as the wooden handles on steel pieces are treated with a beeswax and mineral oil conditioner. This conditioner is food safe and is available for purchase at my Etsy shop. To keep the wood at its best, it is a good idea to occasionally re-apply some oil over the life of the product depending on use and environment.

Steel:

The steel portions of the tools come shipped with a light coating of oil to avoid corrosion while shipping in case they get wet. The forged finish left on portions of the piece also help prevent rust. However like any high carbon steel, the piece can rust if not cleaned and dried after use. If the item is being used or stored in a particularly damp environment a light coat of oil can help prevent rust as well.
